Rifles seized in Assam

Two AK series assault rifles

allegedly meant for militant outfit NDFB (Songbijit) were seized from a vehicle in lower Assam's Sapaguri of Baksa district today, police said.

The driver, identified as Moinul Haque, was taken into custody after one AK-56 and another AK-47 rifle, each with two magazines, were seized from the SUV he was driving from Dimapur in Nagaland to Assam's Kokrajhar, IGP-BTAD L R Bishnoi told PTI.
