Rihanna cancels tour due to laryngitis

R&B star Rihanna has been forced to cancel her Boston concert after contracting laryngitis.

The 25-year-old singer was scheduled to perform tonight but Live Nation postponed the show this morning, reported TMZ.

"BOSTON this is the hardest thing for me to deal with! I feel like we've been waiting on this day forever, and I'm hurt that I let you down (sic)," she posted on Twitter.

"Unfortunately, following her sold out concert on Friday, Rihanna has contracted laryngitis and as per doctor's instruction is unable to perform this evening," a source said.

The 'Diamond' hitmaker's show scheduled in Baltimore on Tuesday will go on as planned, while the Boston show will be rescheduled.
