Robbers loot Rs 49 lakh from State Bank of Patiala cash van

In a daring bank robbery, three unidentified armed persons allegedly looted Rs 49 lakh from the cash van of State Bank of Patiala outside its Gidderbaha branch after injuring the guard this afternoon, police said.

After looting the bank at gun point, the miscreants managed to escape in a car parked close by.

Police said the robbers attacked the guard before committing the robbery.
