Rs 10 lakh solatium to family of havildar

Tamil Nadu government today announced a solatium of Rs 10 lakh to the family of Havildar G Mohankumar of 25 Madras Regiment, who was killed in an attack by suspected militants in Manipur.

In an official press release, Chief Minister Jayalalithaa expressed her condolences to the bereaved family members and announced that the solatium would be paid to them.

Mohankumar (41) was killed yesterday in a bomb attack by suspected militants at Thesgothang village, close to Myanmar Border in Churachindapur district of Manipur.
