Three youths riding a motorcycle robbed a courier company employee of Rs 5 lakh in Hazuri Bagh area of the city today.
Parveen Kumar was on his way to deposit the company's money in a bank when three youths attacked him and took away the cash, Incharge Police Post, Pouni Chak, Sub-Inspector Vikrant Singh said.
He said Kumar was injured in the attack and shifted to Government Medical College (GMC) hospital for treatment where his condition was stated to be stable.
A case has been registered and efforts are on to identify and apprehend those responsible, the officer said.
