Rs 50 lakh worth tobacco products seized from godown

: Banned tobacco products worth over Rs 50 lakh were today seized from godown here by thee commercial taxes department.

On a tip off that the products were stored in the godown, department officials raided it and seized the products, like ghutka, department sources said.

The seized products were handed over to the Food Safety and Standard Cell for testing, they said, adding that action would be taken against the owners based on the test results.
