Rs five lakh looted in Cuttack

Two unidentified persons

escaped with Rs five lakh cash from a parked motorcycle near Mangalabag area of the city here this afternoon.

Police said one Kishore Chandra Raul, an employee of a TV channel, had kept the cash after withdrawing it from a private bank located in Badambadi area.

"While having a meal in a restaurant at Mangalabag, I saw two persons decamped with the cash from my bike that was parked just in front of the restaurant", Kishore said in his complaint.

Registering a case based on the written complaint, police were investigating.
