S K Acharya assumes charge as CMD of Neyveli Lignite

Neyveli Lignite Corporation (NLC) today said S K Acharya has assumed charge as Chairman and Managing Director of the company with effect from today.

Prior to this, Acharya served in NLC as Director (Human Resource).

"S K Acharya, Director (Human Resource) has assumed charge as Chairman and Managing Director of the Company w.E.F. October 1, 2015," the company said in a regulatory filing.

B Surender Mohan relinquished as Chairman and Managing Director of the company on September 30, 2015 on superannuation, it added.

Acharya has a rich and varied experience of over 35 years of working in BHEL, NTPC, NTPC-SAIL Power Company, according to NLC website.
 

Acharya hails from Odisha and had his studies in institutions like Ravenshaw College and Utkal University, Odisha.
