Sambu to be awarded Rs 10 lakh for SAG gold

Arunachal Pradesh Governor J P Rajkhowa has announced a cash award of Rs 10 lakh to Sambu Lapung, who clinched a gold medal in weightlifting at the ongoing South Asian Games.

While expressing his happiness on the achievement of Lapung, the governor said that he would inspire the coming generations with his rare feat, a Raj Bhawan release said here today.
