Samsung most trusted brand, Tata in top 5: Report

South Korean consumer durables firm continues to be the most trusted brand in the country followed by and LG, while Tata Group, the only Indian company to feature in the top five, occupied the fourth slot, a report said.

The top three brands retained their last year's position while Tata moved up a place, 2018 said.

US-based took the fifth position, losing a spot from last year. PC maker improved by two places to be placed sixth, while auto took the seventh position. Sportswear jumped 29 places to occupy the eighth spot, while PC maker and carmaker were placed ninth and 10th, respectively.

Over 2,450 respondents participated in the survey conducted by TRA Research across 16 cities and its findings have been compiled in 2018.

When compared to last year, 320 new brands made it to the list, 368 brands fell in rank, 307 brands rose in rank, and five brands retained their ranks, it said.
