Sanjeev Dasgupta named CEO of Ascendas Property Fund

Private equity lender Ascendas India Trust (a-iTrust) today said it has appointed Sanjeev Dasgupta as Chief Executive Officer of Ascendas Property Fund Trustee.

Dasgupta, who succeeds Jonathan Yap, will oversee the operations of a-iTrust and its asset, investment management, finance and investor relations activities, the PE firm said in a statement here.

Yap will, on the other hand, focus on his role as Ascendas Group's Assistant Group Chief Executive (Overseas Funds and India).

Along with the new responsibility, Dasgupta will also be the CEO of India Funds that manages Ascendas' private real estate funds.

Prior to joining Ascendas Group, Dasgupta was President of Real Estate at ICICI Venture, where he was responsible for realty private equity investments, it said.
