School principal suspended for absenteeism

The principal of a government school was suspended after he was found absent during a surprise inspection by Block Education Officer Raj Singh.

It was found that Ajay Bahadur, the principal of a primary school in Nagla Manikain area, was absent since August 30, Singh said.

Out of 66 students enrolled in the school, nobody was present at the time of the inspection yesterday, he said, adding the students have not been given school uniforms.

Besides, there were complaints of irregularity in midday meal at the school, he asid.
