The specially-designed Science Express Climate Action Special (SECAS) will be on the display at the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT), here from July 19-22, the Central Railway (CR) said today.

The train is an innovative mobile science exhibition mounted on a 16-coach AC train, travelling across India since October 2007.

The ninth edition of the Science Express Climate Action tour is scheduled this year from February 17 to September 8, during which it will be exhibited at 68 stations across the country, a press note issued by the CR said.

The train will halt at the CSMT on platform no. 10, from July 19-22 and will be open to public from 10 am to 5 pm.

General manager, CR, D K Sharma said that the state-of -the-art exhibition on board the SECAS aims to create awareness among various sections of the society as to how climate change can be combated through mitigation and adaptation.

The exhibition is open to all but primarily targets students and teachers, it said.

The 12th coach of the train has been set up as 'kids zone'.

"Over its 1,746 exhibition days, Science Express received an overwhelming response and 1.68 crore visitors. It has become the largest, the longest running and the most visited mobile science exhibition and has 12 entries in the Limca Book of Records," the Central Railway claimed.

The current, ninth phase of the Science Express was flagged off on February 17, 2017 from Delhi's Safdarjung railway station.
