Scientist died in road accident

A 51-year-old scientist serving at the Centre for Water Resources Development and Management was killed in a road accident today while crossing the road at nearby Kunnamangalam today, police said.

Dr C Unnikrishna warrier, Head of nuclear hydrology division of the Centre was crossing the road when a KSRTC bus knocked him down, police said.

Warrier who sustained serious head injuries was rushed to the Kozhikode Medical college Hospital where he died.
