Searing heat prevails in Rajasthan; Churu records 43.3 deg C

Searing heat prevailed across Rajasthan today with Churu recording the state's highest day temperature at 43.3 degrees Celsius, followed by Sriganganagar 42.8 degrees Celsius.

Bikaner and Barmer recorded maximum of 42.2 degrees Celsius whereas Jaisalmer, Jodhpur, Kota, Ajmer and Jaipur experienced a hot day at 41.9, 41.6, 41.2, 41.3 and 40 degrees Celsius, respectively, according to a MeT report here.

The weather conditions would remain the same during the next 24 hours, according to a MeT forecast.
