Select centres freight rates down on excess position of trucks

Freight rates for nine-tonne pay load section select destinations turned weak by Rs 1,000 at the local truck transport market in the national capital today following excess availability of trucks against restricted cargo movements.

Transporters said restricted cargo movements amid easy availability of trucks mainly pulled down some of centres freight rates.

Delhi to Patna and kanpur freight rates moved down by Rs 1,000 each to Rs 29,000 and Rs 22,000.

Rates to Ahmedabad and Baroda also went down by Rs 1,000 each to Rs 25,000 and Rs 26,000.
