Select pulses extend gains on strong demand

Firm conditions continued to prevail for the second straight day at the wholesale market in the national capital today with prices of select pulses rising Rs 100 per quintal on stockists and retailers buying amid paucity of stocks.

Traders said strong demand in the market against paucity of stocks, mainly attributed to the rise in select pulses prices.

Besides, a firming trend in global markets too influenced pulses prices, they said.

Masoor bold, its dal local and best quality edged up Rs 100 each to Rs 6,300-7,100, Rs 7,500-7,600 and Rs 7,600-7,700 per quintal.

Malka local and best quality gained Rs 100 each at Rs 8,400-8,750 and Rs 8,500-8,800, moth prices were also higher by Rs 100 at Rs 5,700-6,000 per quintal.
 

Rajma chitra and Kabli gram too hardened by Rs 100 each to Rs 4,900-6,300 and Rs 5,150-7,650 per quintal.

Following are today's pulses rates (in Rs per quintal):

Urad Rs 9,700-10,800, Urad Chilka (local) Rs 10,800-11,000, Urad best Rs 10,900-11,500, Dhoya Rs 11,300-11,500, Moong Rs 7,700-8,200, Dal Moong Chilka local Rs 8,300-8,600, Moong Dhoya local Rs 8,700-9,000 and best quality Rs 9,100-9,200.

Masoor small Rs 6,200-7,000, bold Rs 6,300-7,100, Dal Masoor local Rs 7,500-7,600, best quality Rs 7,600-7,700, Malka local Rs 8,400-8,750, best Rs 8,500-8,800, Moth Rs 5,600-6,000, Arhar Rs 10,100-10,300, Dal Arhar Dara Rs 11,700-11,800.

Gram Rs 4,950-5,700, Gram dal (local) Rs 5,300-5,500, best quality Rs 5,400-5,700, Besan (35 kg), Shakti Bhog Rs 2,230, Rajdhani Rs 2,230, Rajma Chitra Rs 4,900-6,300, Kabuli Gram small Rs 5,150-7,650, Dabra Rs 2,700-2,800, Imported Rs 4,700-5,100, Lobia Rs 5,000-5,200, Peas white Rs 2,800-2,825 and green Rs 3,050-3,150.
