Septuagenarian dies while waiting in bank queue

A 70-year-old man died after he collapsed while allegedly standing in queue outside a bank for about four hours to withdraw cash in Sahatwar area here, police said today.

Garju Chaudhary, a resident of Domariya village, was standing in the queue outside State Bank of India Sahatwar branch last afternoon, when he suddenly collapsed and died, they said.

The body has been sent for postmortem, they said.

District Magistrate Govind S N Raju said the SDM concerned area has been asked to conduct a probe after which necesary action will be taken.
