Seven women have been booked for allegedly conning people by taking money from them after enrolling them under a non-existent scheme under the 'Beti Bachao Beti Padhao' initiative, police said today.
The accused, who promised their victims that they would get returns, have been identified as Neha, Sonia, Gita, Savita, Shama Parveen, Mansi and Vandana, a police officer said.
An investigation into the matter has been initiated, the officer said.
