SFI activist attacked

Unidentified persons today attacked an 18-year-old activist of the Students Federation of India, students outfit of CPI(M), police said.

They said Akhil was attackedwhile he was on his way to college in the morning.

Akhil, who suffered injuries on his right hand, was rushed to a nearby hospital and his condition is stable, they said.

SFI alleged that activists of ABVP, the students wing of BJP, was behind the attack.

A case has been registered, police added.
