Sharad Yadav meets CEC

After meeting the CEC, Yadav termed it as a "courtesy" call and said he had not met Sampath ever since he was elevated as head of the poll body.

"It was a courtesy meeting. I also discussed some issues concerning elections, but I do not wish to make them public," yadav told reporters.

Sources said Yadav has also taken up the issue of paid news and demanded strict enforcement of laws to check the menace during polls.

When asked about the suggestions he made to the CEC, the JD-U leader refused to share the details and said he would disclose later.
