Stepping up attck on the Shiv Sena, senior Congress leader Narayan Rane today claimed the party wants to join hands with the BJP government in Maharashtra fearing that its MLAs might defect. Addressing a briefing in Kankavli, Rane said the Shiv Sena has "double standards".
"The Shiv Sena which taught self-respect, is desperate to get into the government in fear that its MLAs might defect. It is anti-BJP in Maharashtra, but it is not ready to quit the BJP government in Delhi," Rane said.
He slammed Sena president Uddhav Thackeray's two-day Konkan tour saying that he has come for tourism and nothing else.
He also lashed out at the ruling-BJP for misleading people of the state.
