SHO, ASI suspended for not registering gang-rape case

Data Ram Balmiki, father of the victim, met the SP and complained that his daughter was gang-raped on January 10 and he informed the police next day but till today the SHO and IO did not arrest the accused.

The SP marked the enquiry to DSP Narpjeet Singh and women protection officer Rekha Aggarwal. They recorded the statement of the girl and got her medically checked.

Subsequently, a rape case was registered against Vikky, Monty and Pradeep of the same village.
