Shops down shutters

Several shops here today

downed shutters in support of DMDK MLA A Arulselvan who is observing a relay fast, to press for creating a separate district with Mayiladuthurai as headquarters, among others.

The MLA, who began his protest yesterday, is also demanding early completion of the ring road project and upgradation of Mayiladuthurai government hospital.
