Silver prices were up by Rs 194 to Rs 39,099 per kg in futures trade today after participants raised their bets amid firm global trends.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, silver for delivery in May was trading higher by Rs 194, or 0.50 per cent, to Rs 39,099 per kg in a business turnover of 7 lots.
Similarly, the white metal for delivery in March rose by Rs 193, or 0.50 per cent, to Rs 38,531 per kg in a business volume of 419 lots.

Analysts attributed the rise in silver prices in futures trade to raising of bets by participants, tracking a firming trend in precious metals overseas.
Globally, silver rose 0.60 per cent to USD 16.72 an ounce in Singapore today.
