SIT to probe Congress leader's killing in Jharkhand

A six-member Special Investigation Team (SIT) led by Deputy of Police has been formed to probe into the killing of District Committee president, Shankar Yadav, an official release said today.

Expressing shock over the killing of Yadav, had ordered the constitution of a SIT to start the investigation immediately.

The SIT will be led by deputy SP Karampal Oraon. the release said.

The CID, police and district police would assist the team in the investigation, it said.

The also sought details of the incident from Koderma of Police, Shivani Tiwari, and directed her to apprehend the culprits as early as possible.

Meanwhile, the as well as other opposition parties today put up a road blockade near Jhumri on National Highway 31 with the bodies of Yadav and his and a personal bodyguard, who were killed in the incident.
