The Thane city police arrested six people last night, four of whom were from Indore for allegedly opening fire to scare people in the locality, the police said here today.
Senior police inspector Vilas Suryavanshi, of the Kasarwadavali police station told PTI today that they had come to a bar here to enjoy and celebrate.
After drinking they came out of the bar, fired in the air and created a scene, the police said.

Four of them are from Indore, employed in senior positions in a finance company.
The police also recovered a revolver and 16 rounds from the possession of those arrested.
The names of those arrested are Tinku Thakkar, Gareyu John, Ravishankar Yadav and Dileep Malme, who said that they are from Indore, the police said.
Two others arrested are local estate agents and their names were given as Gourav Manera and Dhananjay Tripathi, the police said.
The police also seized Rs 50,000 in cash from those arrested.
They have been charged under various sections of the Indian Penal Code for unlawful assembly, rioting and also under the provisions of the Arms Act, the police officer said.
They were produced before a local magistrate here who remanded them to police custody until July 28, the police said.
