Six cops killed, 11 injured in road accident

Six police personnel, including a woman, were today killed and eleven others sustained injuries in a road accident near village Lohari, 10 km from here, police said.

The mishap occurred when a jeep in which 17 policemen were travelling was hit by a truck near village Lohari, police said.

All the cops, posted at Khamano police station, were on their way to attend a police parade at police line Mohadian here, he said.

Among injured, three were referred to PGI, Chandigarh.
