Six councillors of the Municipal Council (MC) Sirhind-Fatehgarh Sahib today announced to join Congress.
Out of them, five belong to the SAD-BJP alliance and one is an Independent.
These councillors announced to join Congress in the presence of Local Bodies Minister Navjot Singh Sidhu and Fatehgarh Sahib MLA Kuljit Singh Nagra.
Sidhu and Nagra welcomed the joining of Ashok Sood of BJP (former MC president), Narinder Kumar Prince of BJP (senior vice president), Jagjit Singh Koki (BJP), Pawan Kalra (BJP), Surjit Kumar of Shiromani Akali Dal and Amardeep Singh Benipal (Independent).
