Six members of wedding party killed in accident in MP

Six members of a wedding party were killed and 20 others injured today when the tractor- trolley they were travelling in overturned near Karahal tehsil in the district, police said.

The victims were returning from Bhela Bhemlat village after a wedding ceremony to their hamlet in Bhotipura here when a lever of the trolley accidentally got pressed and it overturned, Karahal police station in-charge, Sunil Sharma said.

The deceased were identified as Ramdas (35), Sanjay (40), Vishal (12), Soni (26), Ramhet (40) and Ramcharan (40), police said.

The injured were admitted in a hospital at Karahal, the police said.

District collector Abhijeet Agrawal announced an ex- gratia of Rs 5,000 each to the kin of those killed and Rs 3,000 each to the injured persons.
