Six-year-old girl's body found in Jharkhand

A six-year-old girl was bludgeoned to death today by unknown persons in Gumla district of Jharkhand and angry villagers blocked Simdega-Ranchi Road in protest against the grisly act, the police said.
The body with its head smashed by a stone was found in a paddy field behind a school in Kamdara police station this evening, sources said.
The father of the girl registered a complaint with the police yesterday after she did not return home since Friday, the police said.

The incident comes close on the heels of the police recovering two minor girls in Jamtara and one in Ranchi district a few days ago, and the police had said they were rape and murder cases.
Ranchi city had remained bandh yesterday in protest against the little girl's killing in Doranda.
