Northern India was troubled by inclement weather today as widespread snowfall and rain hit the region, adding to the continuing chill.
It was a partially cloudy day in Delhi, which was lashed by showers yesterday, with a pale sun coming out in the later part of the day.
The maximum temperature was recorded at 17.7 degrees Celsius, six notches below normal while the minimum settled at 9.2 degrees, two notches below normal.

The hill districts of received snowfall for the second straight day as fresh deposits blocked nearly half-a-dozen roads, including the Joshimath-Auli and Mandal-Chopta routes in Chamoli district and Rishikesh-Yamunotri and Rishikesh- Gangotri highways in Uttarkashi.

Ambala in Haryana got 15.8mm rainfall while Karnal witnessed showers measuring 15.6mm.
In Punjab, Ludhiana recorded a minimum of 10 degrees under wet conditions while Patiala registered 23.9mm rainfall and saw the mercury settle at 10.5 degrees.
