Haryana State Level High Powered Steering Committee under Atal Mission for Rejuvenation and Urban Transformation (AMRUT) today approved the State Annual Action Plan for forwarding the same to Union Ministry of Urban Development for approval.
A decision to this effect has been taken in the meeting of committee under AMRUT presided over by the Chief Secretary, D S Dhesi here today. The meeting of SHPSC under Swachh Bharat Mission and Smart City Project was also held today, an official release said.
The State Annual Action Plan was prepared on the basis of Service Level Improvement Plans (SLIPs) submitted by 18 Urban Local Bodies (ULBs).

It was informed that during the current financial year 2015-16, a provision of Rs. 439.02 crore including Rs 219.01 crore as Central Share and Rs 220.01 crore as State Share has been made in the State Budget for the AMRUT.
In view of the various initiatives undertaken by different stakeholders in Haryana, Dhesi directed that cleanliness should be ensured with suitable arrangements to be made at all bus stands at district level and sub-divisional level.
Further, as a first step of making surroundings clean, all municipalities should ensure cleanliness and be made litter free. He said that the projects at Gurgaon and Karnal should be taken up on priority basis.
It was also informed in the meeting that the Request for Proposal (RFP) for Solid Waste Management of Faridabad cluster at Bandhwari site has been approved in-principle by the Chief Minister and the same has been submitted to the Committee of Secretaries on Infrastructure (CoSI) for approval.
During the meeting, the Chief Secretary also reviewed the various activities being undertaken for finalizing the Smart City Project of Faridabad and Karnal.
