Student killed in clash during New Year party

22-year-old Abhishek, who died at a hospital last night, was admitted with serious injuries after being repeatedly hit on the head by the students, who were suspected to be in an inebriated state, police said.

Six students of the university have been detained for questioning and investigation into the matter is on, they said.
