Sugar ends stable amidst weak demand

Sugar prices ruled steady at the Vashi wholesale market here today due to lack of domestic as well as upcountry demand coupled with adequate stock positions.

Following are today's closing rates for sugar (per quintal) with the previous rates given in brackets:

Small sugar (S-30) quality: Rs 2,722/2,820 (Rs 2,722/2,820).

Medium sugar (M-30) quality: Rs 2,862/2,962 (Rs 2,862/2,962).
