Sugar worth Rs 1.47 lakh seized from Titawi sugar mill

Revenue officials have seized sugar worth Rs 1.47 lakh from Titawi Sugar mill for not clearing the dues of farmers, an official said today.

Following the direction of district authorities, sugar worth Rs 1.47 was seized yesterday from the mill for not clearing farmer's dues of Rs 129 crore, District Magistrate Koshal Raj Sharma told reporters.

The official added that the sugar would be auctioned within a week if the mill does not clear the dues.
