Tahilramani appointed acting Chief Justice of Bombay HC

Justice Vijaya Kamlesh Tahilramani, senior-most judge of Bombay High Court, was today appointed acting Chief Justice of that High Court.
She has been asked to assume her new post on August 11 following the retirement of present Chief Justice Dhirendra Hiralal Waghela, a Law Ministry notification said here.
Out of the 24 high courts, seven -- Andhra Pradesh/Telangana, Sikkim, Tripura, Manipur, Madhya Pradesh, Kerala and now Bombay -- are functioning with acting chief justices.
