Filmmaker Taika Waititi will co-direct "Bubbles", a script detailing the life of Michael Jackson from the point of view of his beloved pet monkey.
The 41-year-old director will helm the stop-animation feature with Mark Gustafson, which is expected to resemble the 2015 film "Anomalisa", confirmed The Hollywood Reporter.
Talking about the film, Waititi said he was not interested in making a biopic on the legendary pop singer but wanted to narrate a story about how an animal tries to figure out life among humans.

"This film is not about Michael Jackson because that's not a story for me to tell - or a story I'd be comfortable telling - it's about a chimpanzee's fascinating journey through the complex jungle of human life. I think animation is the only way to approach a story like this," said Waititi.
He just finished filming "Thor: Ragnarok" in New Zealand with Chris Hemsworth, Mark Ruffalo, Tom Hiddleston, Idris Elba, and Cate Blanchett.
