A tea-stall owner was arrested for allegedly possessing 23 pouches of illicit liquor in Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir, police said today.
Acting on a tip-off, a raid was conducted at the tea stall near the bus stand in Mendhar tehsil of Poonch district yesterday and 23 pouches of illicit liquor were recovered from there, they said.
The owner of the tea stall, Amit Kumar Sharma, was arrested and a case under the Excise Act has been registered against him, police said.
