A teacher of a private school was arrested for allegedly sexually assaulting a 11-year-old boy in Digras in the district, police said today.
Following a complaint by the victim's family on Friday, the 25-year-old teacher Nilesh Badukale was apprehended yesterday, said Shivaji Bethate, Station Officer, Digras Police Station.
The victim used to go to the teacher for private coaching. Badukale on the pretext of promising higher marks in the examination and making him the captain of the class, sexually assaulted the boy near the coaching centre on Friday, the official said.

As per Bethate, the boy narrated his ordeal to his parents following which he was taken to a hospital.
It was medically confirmed that the boy was sexually assaulted. A case under section 377 of IPC (unnatural Offences) was registered, police said, adding investigations are underway.
