Teenage girl commits suicide

The girl consumed some poisonous substance at her residence in Nowlori village near Pattan, 27 kms from here, police said.

She was declared brought dead in hospital.

In a similar case, a woman tried to end her life by consuming poison at her Sehgund-Sallar residence in Anantnag district of South Kashmir late yesterday.

She has been admitted to SMHS hospital here, police said.

On an average five cases of suicide are reported from Kashmir Valley in a week.
