Teenaged maid allegedly commits suicide in Jammu

A teenaged girl working as a maidservant at the house of a public prosecutor allegedly committed suicide in Pouni Chak area of Jammu city, police said today.

"The girl committed suicide and we have registered a suicide case. We are investigating the circumstances as why she took the extreme step," Station House Officer Pouni Chak, Sub Inspector Vikrant Singh said.

Meanhile, the family members of the deceased alleged foul play and held a protest today demanding a thorough probe into the incident.
