Teenager commits suicide in Punjab

A 17-year-old boy today allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself from a ceiling fan in his house in the Model Town area here, an official said.

Dimanshu Anand, a senior secondary student, was found hanging from the fan when a family member went to his room, City Station House Officer (SHO) Bharat Masih Ladhar said.

No suicide note was found, the SHO said.

The body has been sent to a hospital for a postmortem examination, he added.
