Teenager electrocuted

A teenager was

electrocuted and three others who tried to save him were critically injured at Kamakhyaguri suoermarket in Alipurduar in north Bengal today.

Police said the 18-year-old boy was electrocuted when the tubewell from which he was pumping water was electrified from underground electricity cables.

The injured were rushed to a local hospital and from there to Alipurduar sub-divisonal hospital.

Angry locals went into a rampage and vandalised the local State Electricity Board office and put up a road block, which was called off following assurances.
