Teenager killed in celebratory firing

A teenager died in celebratory firing during the Janmashtmi celebrations in Pawai area of the district, police said today.

Prince alias Annu (19) sustained bullet injuries yesterday and died on the spot, they said, adding that family members of a retired policeman Devi Prasad had allegedly fired the shot.

Police said that on a complaint filed by victim's mother Sheela, a case has been lodged against Prasad and his relative Mintu.
