Banda sizzled at 47 degrees celsius as heat wave continued in Uttar Pradesh today.
Day temperature rose in Meerut, Kanpur, Aligarh Shahjahanpur, Kheri, Ballia, Allahabad, Gorakhpur, Varanasi divisions, the MeT department said.
Temperatures were above normal in Bareilly and Agra divisions.
Weather is likely to remain dry in the state during next 24 hours, MeT department said.
