Thane district Collector P Velrasu has directed senior officials of various departments not to leave the headquarters without his prior permission and to complete preparations for the upcoming monsoon.
The Collector directed various departments, including the municipal corporation, city council of the district, regional tehsildars, government hospitals, electricity department and railways, to complete preparations and be well-equipped to tackle emergency situation during monsoon.
He was addressing mediapersons here last evening on the pre-monsoon preparedness of the district administration.
The other instructions include setting up of '24X7 control room' by municipal corporation, preparing list of 'dilapidated' buildings and stocking medicines.
