'The Grand Budapest Hotel' re-released amid award season

Wes Anderson 'The Grand Budapest Hotel' is being re-released immediately after it surprisingly racked up nine Oscar nominations, including Best Picture.

The movie was first in theatres back in March and left cinemas at the end of August, reported the New York Post.

The movie was re-released in 17 American cities including New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Boston, Philadelphia, Chicago, Dallas, Washington DC, San Diego, Denver, Houston and Seattle.

'The Grand Budapest Hotel' tells the story of hotel owner Gustave H (played by Ralph Fiennes) and his lobby assistant (Tony Revolori) at a famous but fictional European hotel between the two world wars. I
 

It's the first Best Picture Oscar nomination for Anderson.

'Grand Budapest' has earned USD 175 million worldwide so far. The movie also won the Golden Globe for Best Musical or Comedy.
