kidnap a businessman were arrested and arms recovered from them from Santipur area of the city, police said today.
Acting on a tip-off, police launched an operation in the area and arrested the trio from a rented house late last night.
A 9 mm pistol, a revolver, several rounds of bullets, three mobile phones were recovered from their possession, the police said.
During interrogation, the three confessed that they were involved in coal business in Meghalaya and were making plans to kidnap a businessman involved in lottery business.
