Three booked for allotting govt land to undeserving people

Three persons, including a tehsildar, were booked for allegedly allotting government land to 47 people against the criteria for allotment, police said today.

The FIR was lodged against tehsildar Yogendra Prasad, revenue inspector Girinath Yadav and village head Bhagmani Devi for allotting land out-of-turn to 47 people in Haldi Rampur village along Bilthara road here, Superintendent of Police Anis Ansari said.

The case was filed at Ubhaon police station yesterday and further investigation was on, the SP added.
